Curtis Park Northeast Program Update
We are incredibly excited to be moving ahead on our transition to our new building in Curtis Park. Our community meeting regarding the move was well attended, and many neighborhood residents seem very excited to have an ECE program moving into the former community center. As we progress further, we will be launching our Curtis Park campaign to help support this exciting opportunity; please stayed tune for a formal announcement!

Sponsor a Child:
Holiday Presents and Food To Over 150 Children!
 Gifts
Every holiday season, the Family Star community comes together to sponsor children, ensuring that each and every child is able to receive holiday presents, regardless of their family’s income. Our tireless Child Family Advocates Belia and Angelia worked with parents, donors, staff and others to pair them up with children, and at the end of the holiday season, we were able to sponsor 155 children, up from last year!

Without these generous sponsors, we would not be able to run such an important program each and every year, so we thank all those who participated in putting a smile on a child’s face (or multiple children), and look forward to growing and streamlining the process next year to serve even more children.

Colorado Gives Day A Family Star Success
Co Gives DayNovember brought us the second annual Colorado Gives Day, an event designed to help support Colorado non-profits, and to introduce generous folks from around the state to organizations that they would like to support.

Put on by the Community First Foundation, Colorado Gives Day makes it easier for supporters to learn more about organizations as well as have a more streamlined donation process.

This year, Family Star was incredibly fortunate in community support, and received over $21,000 in donations. This total is enough to sending one of our teachers to Montessori Certification Training, and to cover the gap between tuition and actual cost for one of our toddlers. That makes a huge and very positive impact on our community. We cannot thank our generous donors enough!
